Lambpie 1973 - xxxx Six Wigs (d. 2007) Local artist Lambpie used all 6 of the public internet terminals in the coffee area of the Xpertise training centre in London to create this most intriguing and thought provoking exhibit.
The symbollic meaning is evident, and I must congratulate Lambpie.
It is demonstrating the irony and disillusionment that IT has given to the world, here being a website designed to bring people closer together by the gift of wig and technology, yet the emptiness of the terminals signifies that IT rather than bringing people closer together is making people more remote and secluded.
The Fellowship of the Wig is an elite group who contribute to the W3 web site (www.worldwidewig.co.uk).
This blog documents their activities.
You can become a Wigster by visiting the site and submitting a photo of yourself wearing the downloadable wig.

This is Turner Prize standard art at its peak!
